Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 receives FCC certication

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 was earlier spotted on GeekBench and GFXBench benchmarking websites.

Seems like Samsung is getting ready for the launch of Galaxy Xcover 4 soon in the United States. As per the latest reports, Samsung’s upcoming device with FCC ID of A3LSMG390G has got the all necessary approval from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in the US.

Sadly, the FCC listing does not reveal any specifications of this upcoming smartphone but it comes with model number SM-G390F. If you are not aware, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 was recently spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website and GFXBench benchmarking website.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4

As per the earlier listings, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 carried the model number SM-G390F. The Galaxy Xcover 4 has a 4.8-inch display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Quad-Core processor coupled with, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It has Mali-T720 and Android 7.0 Marshmallow operating system. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 has a 13-megapixel camera and a LED flash on its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera on its front. The camera has features like autofocus, face detection, flash and touch focus. The device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi along with such as an accelerometer, light sensor, and proximity sensor.

To recollect, the first edition of Galaxy Xcover smartphone with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS was launched way back in 2011 and after a gap of two years Galaxy Xcover 2 running Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS was launched in 2013. Moving forward, in 2015 we also saw the launch of Galaxy Xcover 3 with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, followed by the Value Edition of Galaxy Xcover 3 in 2016 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

For a quick spec look at the last offering in this series, the Galaxy Xcover 3 Value Edition has a 4.5-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 652 processor and 1.5 RAM. The Galaxy Xcover 3 Value Edition offers 8GB of internal storage and an expandable memory via micro SD card. The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed by a 2,000 battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 Value Edition has a 5-megapixel camera supporting underwater shooting mode and an 8-megapixel camera is in its front. The device measures 132 x 70.1 x 10 mm and weighs 154 g. Besides, the smartphone include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, a port, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The handset is and MIL-STD 810G-certified for its water resistant capabilities.
