Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 launched with 8-inch display and rugged body

The tablet runs on latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and is backed up by a 4450 mAh battery.

Samsung has launched a rugged tablet in Netherlands which is named as Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a rugged body with military-standard MIL-STD-810 certification, which means that it can survive extreme pressures, temperatures, climates, shocks and traps.

The tablet is priced at €500 which is approximately Rs 38,197 and it will be available for sale Netherlands starting late November.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has an 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixel) display. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further boosted via a micro SD card. The tablet runs on latest 7.1 Nougat operating system and is backed up by a 4450 mAh battery. The tablet also has an rating for water and dust resistance. It features a physical home button, which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 boasts an 8-megapixel camera that comes along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Further, the tablet offers LTE (Model dependent),WiFi, 4.2, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, and a Type C. The company is also offering S Pen with the device and also supports Bixby (Home and Voice).
