Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ to be cheapest in China?

Both the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor in the United States and China, while the international variant will be powered by the company’s own Exynos 9810 chipset.

Samsung’s Mobile Chief DJ Koh has already confirmed before that the highly anticipated Galaxy S9, S9+ flagship will be unveiled during the upcoming MWC event to be held in Barcelona in February. Recently, a report revealed the launch, pre-order and release date of Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones as per which both the smartphones will be officially announced on February 26th and the pre-orders will start from 1 March. However, till now the expected pricing of the phones has not leaked once. Now, as per a report, pricing of the Galaxy S9 series will be lowest in China as compared with other countries.

As per GizmoChina, Gui Xian, President of Samsung for China recently revealed in an interview that the pricing of both the smartphones in China will be the lowest in the world. However, he has not revealed the pricing details of Galaxy S9 series smartphones. Both the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 845 in the United States and China, while the international variant will be powered by the company’s own Exynos 9810 chipset.

An earlier leak surfaced online showing Brazil National Telecommunications Agency certification for both the devices. The certification shows that the Galaxy S9 will be backed by a 3000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9+ will sport a 3500mAh battery. The battery capacities are similar to the one found in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The certification also shows that the Galaxy S9 will bear a model number G960 and G965 are in line with previous leaks.

Previously, according to a leak on Chinese site Weibo, the Galaxy S9 will come in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage option, while there will be a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant as well. Coming to the Galaxy S9+, the smartphone will bear a 6GB of RAM and it will come in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of storage options. The leak also reveals that Samsung could also bring a 512GB storage variant, though it might be limited to select markets only.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S9 retail box reveals some key information about the upcoming features. As per the box, the phone has a ‘SuperSpeed’ camera in the model. It says that the phone has a 5.8 inch Quad sAMOLED display as the last year’s Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S9+ on the other hand will feature a 6.2-inch display.

The image, which was leaked on Reddit, mentions a 12-megapixel OIS SuperSpeed Dual camera with F1.5 and F2.4 aperture. This camera will offer Super slow motion video capturing feature. Further, it says the phone will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Galaxy S9 is certified for water and dust resistant and has Iris scanner, the image shows. Further, it says that the Galaxy S9 has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory. It has AKG powered stereo speakers as well as earphones. It will have wireless charging facility too.
