Samsung is all set to launch the latest Galaxy Note 8 smartphone in India today. The company has already sent out media invites for the media event, which will take place at 12:30 PM IST in New Delhi today. The company will also live stream the launch on its website. However, it is interesting to note that the company is launching the latest Galaxy Note 8 on the same date when Apple will launch its next-generation of iPhones and a special anniversary edition known as iPhone X.
For Samsung, the launch of the latest Galaxy Note 8 holds great importance, as the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 never made to Indian shores and there is a long gap in the Note series. As for the pricing is concerned, the smartphone was launched at $930 in the US, which roughly translates to Rs 59,561 and could expect it to be priced a bit higher in India. Interestingly, the company has slashed the price of its Samsung Galaxy S8+ and it now retails around Rs 65,990 against its original price of Rs 74,990.
