Samsung Galaxy M40 set to launch in India today: Here’s what to expect

Samsung Galaxy M40 will be powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 6GB RAM.

Samsung is all set to launch its nex M series smartphone – Galaxy M40 in India today at 6 PM. Full specs of the phone have already leaked before. But yesterday, Bollywood actress Disha Patani posted a promo video on her Instagram showing off the Galaxy M40 in full glory.

As per her video, the Galaxy M40 will be powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor. Additionally, the actress also confirmed that the phone will come with 6GB of RAM. The video showed the design of the Galaxy M40 both from the front and back side.

The leaked specs reveal that the Galaxy M40 will feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ Super with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 409ppi. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. It will have 128 internal storage with an option to expand the storage via a card slot.

For the camera, the Samsung Galaxy M40 will feature a triple camera setup with 32-megapixel primary sensor, 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 and an 8-megapixel lens with 123-degree viewing angle and f/2.2 aperture.Further, it is said to have a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front housed inside the notch.

The Galaxy M40 will run on 9 Pie OS and it will be backed up by a 3,500mAh battery through USB-C. It will have connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, VoLTE, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm audio jack. It will be also equipped with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy M40 will reportedly be priced in India at around Rs 20,000. The phone has also been listed officially on the company’s India website with Notify Me option. The availability details of the Samsung Galaxy M40 are expected to be announced at the time of its formal launch. Meanwhile, Amazon India has already teased the phone on its portal confirming its availability.
