Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2017) to launch soon

The smartphone will feature a removable battery unlike other recent models in the Galaxy J lineup.

Samsung seems to be working on the successor of its Galaxy J2 Pro smartphone which is dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2017). The smartphone has got the certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Also, the smartphone has received the necessary approval from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in the US. Both the listings indicate that we can expect the launch of Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2017) very soon.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro was launched last year in July for Rs 9,890 and currently the smartphone retails at Rs 8,490. The listings were first spotted by SamMobile. Sadly, both the listings do not reveal anything about the hardware specifications of the smartphone. The FCC document, however, reveals that the smartphone will feature a removable battery unlike other recent models in the Galaxy J lineup. No more details about the phone are known at the moment but since now the device has started surfacing online we expect more leaks to come up in the coming days. We will keep you posted once we get more updates on this.

To recap, Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro has a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen. The 8mm sleek Galaxy J2 Pro is powered by 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processor and 2GB RAM. For storage, there is 16GB internal and 128GB expandable memory slot in the phone. The Galaxy J2 Pro has a battery capacity of 2600 mAh battery and has the Marshmallow operating system.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro sports an 8-megapixel camera in its rear panel. A 5-megapixel front camera is there for the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro for video calling and selfies. Both cameras sport an f 2.2 aperture. It offers connectivity, dual-SIM, Bluetooth v4.1, 2.0, GPS, GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Direct.

The Galaxy J2 Pro has Turbo Speed Technology (TST) and Smart Glow (next-gen colour LED notification system) for the convenience of the user. TST, as per Samsung, results in superior performance including native apps opening up to 40% faster than devices with double the RAM. Smart Glow consists of a first-ever LED notification ring at the back of the smartphone that assists in orienting the rear camera to take auto-focussed higher selfies. It couples up as a notification system where colours can be customised for contacts and other applications. It has also the S bike mode as well as Ultra Data Saving mode.
