Samsung is all set to launch its latest, the Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite in China. Now, just ahead of launch, the Galaxy A9 Star has been spotted on Geekbench, confirming some key specs.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the smartphone has scored 1625 points in the single-core test, while it has 5776 points in multi-core test. The listing also sheds some light on the specifications of the upcoming device. To start with, the phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. The listing reveals that it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is in line with previous reports. Further, the smartphone will be backed by a 4GB of RAM, as per the listing.
The Galaxy A9 Star highly resembles the Galaxy S9+, in terms of design language. The smartphone was earlier available for pre-orders on company’s official website along with Galaxy A9 Start Lite. The Chinese Samsung Online store has started taking pre-orders of the upcoming devices till June 14. The phones will then go on sale on June 15. The Galaxy A9 is priced at 3699 Yuan (approx. Rs 38,738), while the Galaxy A9 Star Lite is up for pre-order for 2,699 Yuan (approx. Rs 28,266). The website has also spilt some beans on the specifications of both the mid-range smartphones.
Talking about key specifications, the Galaxy A9 Star will feature dual-camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 24-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, there will be a 24-megapixel shooter for videos and selfies. The phone features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display with a screen Resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels.
It will be backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. The Galaxy A9 Star will feature 3,700mAh battery and it will support features like Dolby Atmos and Face Unlock. The phone will be available in Black and White colour options.
