The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro was originally launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and now retails at Rs 22,900 on Flipkart.
After recently rolling out Android Nougat update for its Galaxy A7 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) smartphones in India, Samsung has now rolled out the Nougat 7.0 update for its Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone also in India, as per a report of SamMobile. The smartphone has already been spotted with Nougat on GFXBench and GeekBench benchmarking sites earlier. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro was originally launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and now retails at Rs 22,900 on Flipkart.
The software firmware version for this update is A910FXXU1BQHB for the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with a file size o 1.2GB. Do keep in mind that before you go for the downloading and installing the update, check the battery and storage of your smartphone. It should have at least 50 percent of charge and 2GB of free space is available. Since the update is being rolled out via over-the-air (OTA), it may take some time before it comes to your device. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.
Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications, and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in 'Double Tap' on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which come in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with 'Doze on the go' which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.

For the specs, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has a Glass and Metal design and features a 6-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The smartphone is equipped with a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor and 4 GB RAM. The Galaxy A9 Pro offers 32GB of internal storage and an expandable memory up to 256GB via micro SD card. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
It is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery, which claims to offer a standby time of up to 22.5 days, talk-time of up to 32.5 hours, and video playback time of up to 26 hours. The battery comes with a fast-charging feature, which claims to charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 160 minutes, and in mere 30 minutes, it claims to charge the battery to up to 32%.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has a 16-megapixel autofocus camera with f1.9 aperture, OIS and LED flash in its rear panel, while an 8-megapixel camera with f1.9 aperture is in its front. The smartphone also offers a fingerprint scanner. The device measures 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9 mm and weighs 210 g. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, a micro USB port, Samsung KNOX, S-Voice, Screen Mirroring, Accelerometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, Light Sensor, and Proximity Sensor.
