Samsung has started taking pre-orders from customers in Vietnam and both the phones will be made available on January 6, 2018, in Vietnam.
Samsung recently launched the 2018 editions of its Galaxy A series which are dubbed as Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). Now Samsung has revealed pricing and availability for the two smartphones in Vietnam. The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) is priced at VND 10,990,000 which is approximately Rs 30,980 while the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) is priced at VND 13,490,000 which is approximately Rs 38,040. Samsung has started taking pre-orders for the handset from customers in Vietnam and both the phones will be made available on January 6, 2018, in Vietnam. Both of them comes in Black, Orchid Grey, Gold and Blue colour options. In Europe, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is going to cost €499 and the Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be priced at €599.
The smartphones are the first from Samsung’s camp to feature dual-selfie cameras. Both of them bears a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with the same aperture of f/1.9. The dual cameras are used to create from clear portrait shots to close-ups with background blur. Then there is Live Focus feature that adjusts the bokeh effect before or after you take the picture. One can also add stickers to a selfie as well. For the rear, there is a 16-megapixel sensor with aperture f/1.7 and LED flash.
The smartphones also come with the Infinity Display which is present in company’s flagship lineup. The Galaxy A8 (2018) features a 5.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes loaded with 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with both sporting a screen resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. Both the smartphone also comes with Always On Display feature as well.
Both of them support Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC) and are equipped with Samsung Pay. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back panel just beneath the primary camera. Further, both the phones are the first in A series to support Samsung Gear VR.

As for the specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (208) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) are powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. The Galaxy A8 (2018) is backed by a 4GB of RAM and comes in 33GB or 64GB storage option. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes in two configurations: one with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the other sports a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In both smartphones, the memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) sports a 3500mAh battery.
Both the smartphones run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and on the connectivity front, both of them supports NFC, MST, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, 256QAM, Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), ANT+, USB Type-C, GPS, Glonass, BeiDou and dual-SIM slot. The Galaxy A8 (2018) measures 149.2 x 70.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 172 grams, while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) measures 159.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm and weighs 191 grams.
