Samsung has now started rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie update to the Galaxy A8+ (2018) in India. The company recently rolled out the Pie update to the smartphone only in Russia.
India is the second market to be getting Pie for the A8+ (2018). It is now expected that the rollout will expand to new markets in the near future.
SamMobile reports that the new update carries build numberA730FXXU4CSCD for the A8+. The update also brings the February Android security patch level.
Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device and will reach all the users in the coming weeks. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. Before starting the update, your device should be at least 50% charged with a stable Wi-Fi network.
The update brings the latest One UI to the table. The latest UI features newly designed controls at the bottom with larger search box or text at the first half, which it claims will be easier to navigate as compared to its predecessor. Apart from this, users will be able to use new gesture controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations, refined notifications and Quick Settings, vertical volume controls and new power menu among others.
