The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 10 tablet has now been formally announced by the company. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will have a new design and new features. The new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet houses a quad core 1.4 GHz mobile processor as anticipated. It has a 10.1 inch multi-touch display and also supports the S Pen stylus. Galaxy Note 10.1 will soon be available in Korea, Germany, the US, and the UK, while the rest of the world can expect it through this month.
Samsung was expected to launch the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet sometime this month and the company quietly announced it this week. The Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display that supports 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. This touchscreen display has been optimized to support multi-touch and multi-screen for efficient multi-tasking using the S Pen stylus.
Samsung has made this tablet about 8.9 mm thin and it has a quad core mobile processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. Packing 2 GB low powered memory, this tablet will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI with Live Panels UX. This tablet will come pre-loaded with the Adobe Photoshop Touch software for advanced photo editing. Other than that, the device will feature Reading Hub, Learning Hub, Video Hub and Music Hub.
This tablet will also bring the much touted Smart Stay feature of the Galaxy S III smartphone. Besides that, the tablet will feature GPS with GLONASS and A-GPS for more accurate location based services. This tablet will be offered in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB options with micro SD slots that support up to 64 GB memory. Samsung will offer this tablet in WiFi only, WiFi+3G and WiFi+LTE models.
The tablet also comes with the S Pen stylus and the S Pen experience with the exclusive apps – S Note, S Planner and My Story. The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a big 7000 mAh battery that should be good enough to make the tablet run for at least a day.
Samsung did not share the pricing of this tablet but we expect it to cost more than Rs 35,000.
