Redmi Y3 ‘Notify Me’ option goes live on Amazon

Redmi Y3 will be a selfie-centric smartphone which will feature a 32 MP front-facing snapper.

Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi Y3 in India on April 24. Now ahead of the launch, ‘Notify Me’ option on Amazon has gone live for the Redmi Y3.

One can register on ‘Notify Me’ to receive real-time updates on the device on Amazon India. Interested customers can select the ‘Notify Me’ option on the e-commerce website to get all the notification about all the updates related to the launch, availability, pricing, offers and more. Redmi India has already been teasing the upcoming launch on its social media platforms with #32MPSuperSelfie.

Redmi Y3 will be a selfie-centric smartphone which will feature a 32 front-facing snapper. The Redmi Y3 will be the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 smartphone was launched last year in India.

Xiaomi Redmi Y3: Expectations and Upcoming Features

Redmi India Twitter account has today also released a teaser video that confirms the phone will pack a 4,000mAh battery. The company has also posted an image suggesting the gradient back of the Redmi Y3.

Much specifications of the phone are not known at the moment. But the phone’s landing page on Amazon India confirms that Redmi Y3 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon and will offer two-day battery life.

For the front-facing camera, the company is expected to employ Samsung’s 32-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GD1 image sensor that was announced back in October last year.

The phone is tipped to run on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie and will have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Earlier Redmi Y3 with the model number M1810F6G was approved by Wi-Fi Alliance. The listing confirmed that the Redmi Y3 will be running on Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box and it will have Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support.

To recap, theXiaomi Redmi Y2 has a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and it has 3,080 mAh battery. On the camera front, the Redmi Y2 has a 12-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, LED Flash and 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots. For the front, the device has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered with a 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core with Adreno 506 GPU, the smartphone comes with 3GB/4GB of and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
