Redmi Note 8 Pro receives new software update with November Android Security Patch

MIUI 11 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro is still based on Android 9 Pie and not the latest Android 10.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has received a new update in India. The phone received MIUI 11 update last month with version number MIUI 11.0.1.0.PGGINXM and October security patch. Now the MIUI 11 update bumps up the security version to November Android Security Patch.

The version number of this new update is MIUI 11.0.3.0.PGGINXM, and the size of the MIUI 11 update is 602MB. But MIUI 11 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro is still based on Android 9 Pie and not the latest Android 10.

Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched in India in October this year. It comes in three variants – 6GB + 64GB storage priced at Rs 14,999, 6GB + 128GB variant priced at Rs 15,999 and the premium variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB is priced at Rs 17,999. Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in Shadow Black, Gama Green, and Halo White colour options in India.

Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio.The smartphone runs on Android 9 based on MIUI 11 and packs a massive 4,500 battery with 18W support. There is quad rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel Samsung Bright GW1 ISOCELL sensor, 8-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 2-megapixel macro lens. For the front, the phone has a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T processor.
