Redmi Note 7 Pro rumoured to come with Snapdragon 675, pricing also leaked

Redmi Note 7 Pro will come as one of the first phones to include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 SoC unlike the Redmi Note 7 that is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 in China recently. At the event, the company confirmed that after the Spring Festival in February, it will be launching the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone. Now a new leak has surfaced online which has claimed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone could be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset. Alongside, the price of the phone has also leaked.

A teaser was posted by the company on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The teaser showed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor at the back. The Redmi Note 7, on the other hand, has a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor.

A tipster on Weibo claimed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will come as one of the first phones to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 SoC unlike the Redmi Note 7 that is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC was unveiled last year in October. The new is based on the 11nm process and it comes loaded with Kryo 460 CPUs. There are 2 Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The new SoC comes with Adreno 612 that comes with improved processing and efficiency.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is said to be priced will be priced around 1,399 and 1,499 Yuan. (approx. Rs 13,500 and approx. Rs 15,800). To recall, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, on the other hand, comes in three variants – 3GB priced at 999 Yuan which is approx. Rs 10,380, 4GB RAM for 1199 Yuan which is approx. 12,459 and 6GB RAM is priced at 1399 Yuan which is approx. Rs 14,537.
