Redmi K20 now up for pre-booking, will have 6GB and 8GB RAM variants

An alleged poster of Redmi K20 Pro smartphone is also doing rounds on internet, revealing the variants wise pricing of the device.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi is all set to launch Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in China on May 28. Today the company’s CEO and Founder, Lei Jun, has announced that Redmi K20 flagship smartphone is now up for pre-booking in China. Interested buyers can pre-book the device by depositing Yuan 100.

When we checked the Chinese online retailer website, we have found the Redmi K20 listed for pre-book and the phone will have two variants, 6GB of with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

Lei Jun revealed that the Redmi K20 features the industry’s largest 1217 ultra-linear speaker with a 0.9cc large physical cavity.

Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing confirmed that the Redmi K20 will come with DC Dimming technology for controlling the brightness of the screen and the phone will retain 3.5mm jack.

Teaser: Xiaomi confirmed that the flagship Redmi K20 will come with Game Turbo 2.0 support and claimed that it will let you reply to messages while you are playing the games without any delay on both sides.

Leaked Poster: An alleged poster of Redmi K20 Pro is also doing rounds on the internet, revealing the variants wise pricing of the device. As per the poster, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage variant will be priced at 2,599 Yuan, 6GB of RAM and 128 of storage will cost 2,799 Yuan, while for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage one has to shell out 2,999 Yuan.

Redmi-K20-Pro

A couple of days back, the company had posted a Redmi K20 image on its official Weibo handle, which suggests the phone will have a gradient effect back cover with a combination of red, blue and black colours. Moreover, the triple camera setup is visible at the back which aligned vertically in the centre of the phone with the primary sensor placed separately with a golden ring around it.

Recently, Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have got the 3C certifications in China and according to the website, Redmi K20 will come with 18W support, while Redmi K20 Pro will have 27W fast charging support.

Xiaomi had already confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K20 will be using AMOLED (resolution of 2340*1080) screen, will have Sony 48MP ultra-clear camera, 4000mAh battery and will come equipped with the seventh generation in-display fingerprint sensor which is a 3P lens-type optical fingerprinting system with a small macro camera is installed under the screen. Further, the company claimed that the hardware upgrade is 7.2μm ultra-large pixels, which is 100% higher than the previous generation’s photosensitive area, and the finger area is also increased by 15%, which can better capture the finger and company also worked on its software as well that will increase the unlock speed of the Redmi K20 by 10%.

Earlier, we have reported that the Redmi K20’s specifications were revealed via listing on JD.com, a Chinese online retailer. As per the listing, the Redmi K20 will have 6.15 inches Full display with a of 2280×1080 pixels. The flagship device will be powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. For the optics, the Redmi K20 will house a triple rear camera setup with a combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone will carry a 20-megapixels selfie shooter, which said to be the pop-selfie module.

Further, the company’s top management already hinted passing Q beta version on the device. Moreover, Redmi K20 would also have a USB Type C port. Other connectivity options will include VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual with dual standby.

A few days back, Manu Jain, VP Xiaomi had also hinted that the Redmi K20 flagship smartphone will be launched in India in the coming days.
