Realme X2 to launch in India on December 17, Star Wars Edition also coming

Realme X2 smartphone will get a special Star Wars Edition variant as well.

Realme will be launching Realme X2 in India on December 17. The company was earlier expected to launch Realme XT 730G but now the phone will be launched as Realme X2 in India, revealed by a Flipkart teaser page. The Realme XT 730G is nothing but the rebranded version of the Realme X2 launched in China in September.

Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has put up a microsite teasing the upcoming launch. This confirms that the Realme X2 will be available on the e-commerce site upon its launch in India. Additionally, it has a “Notify Me” option for the alerts for the upcoming launch.

Realme X2 will be available in the Avacado Green colour variant, as per Flipkart listing. There might be two more colour options- Pearl Blue and Pearl White. Realme X2 is already launched in China, we have the complete spec-sheet of the smartphone.

Meanwhile, the smartphone will get a special Star Wars Edition variant as well. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has tweeted a poster of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The phone will have an embossed star wars logo and the back panel will have a gradient design.

Realme X2 Star Wars Edition

In China, the Realme X2 is available in two variants- 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB, priced at 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs 16,400) and 1899 Yuan (approx. Rs 19,500), respectively. The phone features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, a screen-to-body ratio of 91.9 percent and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Realme X2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G with Adreno 618, 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The storage can be expanded to up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Realme X2 runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 and is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge. It has four cameras at the back comprising of a 64MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, EIS, 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and 0.8μm pixel size; an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 119-degree field of view, f/2.25 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size; a 2MP depth-sensing camera with f/2.4 aperture and 1.75μm pixel size; and a 2MP macro sensor with 4cm focus, f/2.4 aperture and 1.75μm pixel size. There’s a 32MP selfie camera on the front with an aperture of f/2.0.

The phone weighs 182 grams and measures 158.7 × 75.2 × 8.6 mm. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, NFC, GPS and GLONASS.
