Realme X receives new update with Dark Mode, October Security Patch and more

Last month also Realme X received an update bringing September security patch, redesigned notification panel and more.

Realme has started rolling out a new update to its Realme X smartphone. The update brings Dark Mode andan updated charging animation along with some other improvements.

The update comes with version number RMX1901EX_11_A.09 and it brings October 2019 security patch as well. The official changelog reveals that the update bringsUpdated charging animation, Added font feature to Theme Store, Added realme Laboratory, Added Dark Mode, Added option for notification dots for updates and Quickly enter hidden applications list with fingerprints.

Moving on, the new update also addsoption to swipe down on home screen for global search or notification center, adds fast switch toggle between SIMs in notification center, removes the reminder after the hotspot is enabled and the prompt when phone is rooted. It also improves touch experience when gaming and fixes some applications’ behavior.

Realme in its forum post has mentioned it is a staged rollout, the update will be randomly pushed to a limited number of users and will have a broader rollout in coming days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days.

To recall, theRealme X comes in two variants– 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The smartphone runs on 9 Pie operating system based on ColorOS 6.0 UI and it is backed up by a 3765mAh battery which supports VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 710 that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
