Razer has started sending media invites for the launch event of a new product on October 10. The company is expected to launch the second-generation Razer Phone dubbed as Razer Phone 2. The event will take place at its headquarters in Hollywood, California and it will be hosted by Razer CEO Min-Lian Tan.
The invite has not mentioned the product name to be launched at the event, but it mentions words like “flagship” and “gaming”. It also shows a green boxy rectangular outline of a smartphone. This hints that the October 10 will be the date that the Razer Phone 2 will be officially announced by the company.
Razer Phone 2 will compete with the popular smartphone makes who have launched their own gaming-centric devices like Xiaomi Black Shark and Asus ROG phone. However, none of these has made their debut in India yet.
The gaming smartphone was recently leaked in a render. The render revealed that the phone will look quite like its predecessor – Razer Phone.
The Razer Phone 2 was earlier spotted on AnTuTu benchmarking website, revealing some key specifications. As per the listing, Razer Phone 2 will be backed by an 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 9 Pie operating system and offer a 4000mAh battery.
The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor with Adreno 630 GPU. It is expected to feature 5.7-inch QHD IGZO UltraMotion display with a Resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
