Oppo R9s with metal unibody design in works: Report

The upcoming device will be the successor of Oppo R9 smartphone.

Oppo is reportedly working on latest smartphone, named as Oppo R9s, which may be the successor of Oppo R9 smartphone launched in China earlier this year.

As per report, the smartphone will have a metal unibody design and will be fueled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Further, the report suggest that, the Oppo could consider using Super VOOC technology in R9s smartphone, that charges a 2500mAh battery in 15 minutes, like its predecessor.

Like its predecessor, we would expect Oppo R9s smartphone to come with competitive front/rear camera setup, and a fingerprint scanner.

As of now this much of information is available on the Oppo R9s smartphone. However, we will keep you posted as soon as we get more insight on this.

To recall, The Oppo R9 has a 5.5-inch Full (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED screen and is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has an expandable storage as well that can hold a micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The 5.1.1 operating system based R9 has Color OS 3.0 user interface and a 2850 battery and it also has Oppo’s Super VOOC fast charging technology that claims to fully charge the phone in just 15 minutes.

The R9 smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 OIS snapper with Smart Sensor on its back while a 13-megapixel shooter is in its front panel. This smartphone also offers a fingerprint sensor, which claims to unlock the phone in under 0.2 seconds. The handset measures 151.8×74.3×6.6mm and weighs around 145 grams.
