Oppo has today launched a new variant of its Oppo R11s smartphone which is dubbed as Oppo R11s New Year Anniversary Edition. This comes in preparation for the Chinese New Year celebration. As of now, the price and availability of the new variant have not been announced by the company.
Oppo launched Oppo R11s and Oppo R11s Plus smartphones at an event in China last month. The Oppo R11S New Year Anniversary Edition gets the same Red ornament as the existing red variant, but with Gold colour plating on its rear chassis. The New Year Anniversary Edition’s rear camera ring and the rear Oppo logo have both been plated with Gold colour.
As for the specifications, it remains the same as the standard Oppo R11S. The smartphone boasts dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 20-megapixel camera with a bright f/1.7 aperture and LED flash coupled with a 16-megapixel. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling with Beautify 5.0 AI technology, which promises clear and beautiful selfies and can be used to unlock the device using facial recognition. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat with company’s ColorOS 3.2 running on top of it.
