Just yesterday, a new Oppo R11 surfaced on a GeekBench benchmarking website revealing 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 835 chipset. Now today Oppo has teased the launch of a new variant of Oppo R11 which is named as Oppo R11 Barcelona Edition on August 8 in China.
Oppo has revealed the launch date in a post on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. As per the post, the Oppo R11 Barcelona Edition will come in two colours namely Blue and Red and the teaser has both Oppo and Barcelona’s logos imprinted on it. Although not much is known about the Barcelone Edition right now we expect the new variant to sport a similar specs sheet.
In the ysterday’s GeekBench listing, the Oppo R11 got 1512 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 4831 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Oppo R11 has 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 1.90 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system.
The current Oppo R11 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED screen with 401ppi as Pixel density and is powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has an expandable storage as well that can hold a micro SD card.
On the connectivity front, both the devices support 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and Dual-SIM support. The Oppo R11 measures 154.5× 74.8×6.8mm and weigh 150 grammes.
The smartphone boasts dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel camera Wide-Angle lens with a bright f/1.7 Aperture and PDAF coupled with a 20-megapixel telephoto lens with aperture f/2.6. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. Oppo R11 runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with company’s ColorOS 3.1 running on top of it.
