Oppo K5 confirmed to feature Snapdragon 730G SoC and VOOC 4.0

Oppo K5 will be the first phone from the company which will arrive with VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology that reduces the charging by 40 percent when compared to VOOC 3.0.

Oppo is all set to launch Oppo K5 in China on October 10 in Green, Blue and White colours with 3D Glass back. Now the company has confirmed few details of the upcoming smartphone.

As per the details shared by company on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, Oppo K5 will be powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset. Additionally, the phone has also been confirmed to feature VOOC 4.0 rapid charging technology. Oppo K5 will be powered by 4,000mAh battery.

Notably, Oppo K5 will be the first phone from the company which will arrive with VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology that reduces the charging by 40 percent when compared to VOOC 3.0. With the VOOC 4.0 technology, the smartphone will gain 67 percent battery power in just 30 minutes. The phone will be the successor of Oppo K3 which came with VOOC 3.0 technology.

As per real-life images of Oppo K5 leaked yesterday, the phone features a quad-camera setup at the upper-left corner along with an LED flash. The company’s branding is also there as well at the rear. The right side of the device features the power button while the slot and volume buttons are on the left side. The bottom has a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a USB-C port and an external speaker. The front of the device shows a dewdrop notch with thin bezels on the sides.

Earlier leaks have revealed Oppo K5 features a 6.4-inch Full with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a waterdrop notch. The phone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which is expected to be the Snapdragon 730G and it’s coupled with 8GB of and 128GB of 2.1 storage. There will support for expandable storage to up to 256GB through a microSD card.

The device will run on 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 and will be backed by a 4000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge. For the camera, it will have quad-camera setup comprising of a 64MP main camera with 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, EIS and 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor; an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.25 aperture; a 2MP with f/2.4 aperture,1.75μm pixel size and 4cm focus; and a 2MP depth sensor with 1.75μm pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. There will be a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.
