OnePlus 7T receive OxygenOS 10.0.5 update, OnePlus 7 series get OxygenOS Open Beta 5 update

OnePlus has announced the rollout of the update to OnePlus 7T on OnePlus forums.

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 10.0.4 update for the OnePlus 7T last month. Now the company has now started rolling out OxygenOS 10.0.5 update to OnePlus 7T. Also, OnePlus is rolling the OxygenOS Open Beta 5 update for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones.

OnePlus has announced the rollout of the update to OnePlus 7T on OnePlus forums. This OTA will have a staged rollout. The OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. You can check for an update by going to Settings > System > System Updates.

The changelog reveals that the update fixes the double-tap gesture for screen activation and improves system stability and General bug fixes. It also updates Android security patch to October month.

XDA Developers report that OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are now receiving the OxygenOS Open Beta 5 update. The changelog mentions that the update includes optimizations for the touch experience while playing gaming. There is also a fix for the navigation bar colour under dark mode. It adds privacy alerts for the applications with the permissions access to the camera, locations, etc.

The update also improves the stability of the weather app and fixes known issues, and also optimises the Emergency Rescuer feature to improve the product experience.
