OnePlus 7 Pro receives OxygenOS 9.5.9 update with camera improvements and more

The OnePlus 7 Pro update also brings a new Face Unlock assistive lighting option.

OnePlus has started rolling out a new update to itsOnePlus 7 Prosmartphone. The update brings camera improvements as well as general bug fixes and improvements.

The update comes with version OxygenOS 9.5.9 and it will be rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) in a phased manner. The broader rollout will begin in a few days.

The official changelog reveals that OnePlus has improved the touch sensitivity for greater performance, smoother visual effects, brings optimised haptic feedback for the keyboard, optimised sensitivity of automatic brightness, optimised auto-switch of display resolution, optimised the speed and accuracy of when the screen is turned off, and adjusted haptic feedback of third-party notifications.

The OnePlus 7 Pro update also brings a new Face Unlock assistive lighting option. You can go to Settings – Security & lock screen – Face Unlock – Face Unlock assistive lighting. It also increased sound enhancement for OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2. For this you can go to Settings – Sound & vibration – Dolby Atmos – Earphone Adjustment – Earphone Sound Enhancement.

The update brings the June security patch as well along with VoLTE/ VoWiFi support for 3SE and Telenor SE operators, and general bug fixes and improvements.

Apart from these, the update also improves the performance of camera mode while switching from front to back. It also improves the speed of autofocus, enhances photo-stitching in Panorama mode, and improves photo quality of 48-megapixel JPG in Pro mode.

Earlier, OnePlus rolled out an update to the OnePlus 7 Pro with the release of the OxygenOS 9.5.8. OxygenOS 9.5.8 comes with improved touch sensitivity which could possibly be a fix to thePhantom touch issue. Another fix solves the automatic pop-up of selfie camera which previously opened even when the phone was locked.
