OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro get Android 10 based Open Beta 2 update

OnePlus has started rolling out Open Beta 2 to its latest OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones. The Open Beta 2 is based on 10 and it is currently rolling out to those who have opted for beta testing.

The Open Beta 2 changelog reveals that it fixes the crash issue with System caused by WhatsApp application. The update also fixes the dark screen issue on the lock screen while accessing Games. It also brings fixes for the Status Bar, which didn’t display UI elements.

The update also re-design WiFi icon in Quick Settings menu. It also fixes the crash issue with the fingerprint unlock and optimises the animation effect when Notification bar is being scrolled upwards. It is important to note that this is a beta update and it might not be as stable as the official OTA. For those who have opted for the beta testing, will receive this new build as an OTA. Meanwhile, the company is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 7T series along with its first Smart TV. The company has scheduled an event on September 26 where it will unveil the latest products.

OnePlus 7T is said to feature a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED FullHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support and 402 ppi density. It will be powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ coupled with an Adreno 640 and 8GB of and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
