OnePlus has started rolling out a new OxygenOS update for its older flagship devices around the globe. The company has rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.3 for OnePlus 6 and OxygenOS 9.0.1 update for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.
Starting with the OnePlus 6, the update brings improvements in WiFi and Bluettoh stability for better connectivity. It also upgrades the Nightscape performance on the flagship device and it optimises image processing. The update also improves slow-motion performance for the OnePlus 6. Apart from this, the update brings general bug fixes and improvements.
Coming to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, the OxygenOS 9.0.1 update brings optimised sRGB display mode and the brand has also optimised the Reading mode on both the devices. The update also fixes the issue with 4G VoLTE toggle, which was missing and it also brings improvements in WiFi stability. Apart from this, the update also fixes random reboots when screencasting.
Users can check for the latest update on OnePlus smartphones by simply going to Settings > System > System Updates. As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users first, and then the company will begin a broader rollout in a few days.
Previously, the company rolled out stable Android 9.0 Pie update to its OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones. The OxygenOS 9.0.0 update brings new user interface for Android Pie to both the devices. It also brings new navigation gestures for OnePlus 5T. The update brings December Android security patch to the table as well.
