OnePlus 5 Oreo update resumes with Oxygen OS 5.0.1

The update fixes network connectivity and third-party camera performance issues.

OnePlus has resumed the rollout of Android Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0 update for OnePlus 5 devices. The update was released last month around the globe and was cancelled last week, as the users were facing network connectivity for European operators and third-party camera performance issues.

The company has now launched the OxygenOS 5.0.1, which has bugs fixes for the issues. To check for the latest update one will have going to Settings > System updates > Check for updates. It is worth noting that the released update is a staged rollout, so it will take some time to get out to every device.

Further, with the new updated, one will have few Optimizations for the shelf in the launcher. The camera will have a new design, will enhance the photo quality and will have beauty effect to the portrait mode. Then in system devices will have Parallel Apps feature, new design for Quick setting and Lift up display and much more.

On top of it, the Oreo update will bring the picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.
