OnePlus 5 which was recently launched in Indiawith much hype unlike previous editions, is now available for purchase via open sale on Amazon India, the OnePlus Store, and the OnePlus Experience Store (in Bengaluru). The sale commenced at midnight, June 27.
Clearly for the firm, the success of the One Plus 5 cannot be overstated, as the frm is seeking much higher volumes with this iteration.
Amazon India is offering discounts on the purchase of OnePlus 5 which includes flat Rs 1500 cashback on using SBI Credit cards and SBI Debit cards and a free 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance (powered by Kotak 811). Vodafone users will get up to 75 GB data free and 3 months of free Vodafone Play on the OnePlus 5. Kindle users on signing in to the Kindle App will get Rs 500 promotion credit for Kindle eBooks. Apart from this, Amazon Prime Video users can get Rs 250 as Amazon Pay Balance on using the app.
Though OnePlus 5 was launched in Slate Gray and Midnight Black colour options, we expect it to be coming in Mint Gold colour option as well.
OnePlus 5 Design, Features and Specifications
To start with the design part, the smartphone comes with a Horizon Line, which the company says gives a sleeker look to the device. It is just 7.25mm thick. The front of the device features 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED Display with DCI-P3, which gives more realistic colour output coupled with a secondary camera at the top along with earpiece, while at the base there is a fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds. The right houses a power on/off button, while at the left there is an Alert Slider and volume controls. At the base, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with USB Type-C port and speaker grille. At the back, there are crescent Antenna bands running at the top and the base, while the dual-camera setup is situated at the top-left corner.
Moving on to the camera department, the smartphone comes loaded with a dual-camera setup at the back with a combination of the 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX398 sensor and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens with Aperture f/2.6. The camera also offers up to 8x zoom which is a combination of optical zoom and digital zoom. The camera also comes with fast AF (autofocus), where both the lenses are used to capture the image. The brand claims that it increases the focus speed by 40 percent. Further, there are different modes including Portrait Mode, Pro Mode with the histogram. It may be recalled that the device has got mixed reviews.
