OnePlus 5, 5T, OnePlus 3 and 3T get new OxygenOS update

The brand has rolled latest OxygenOS updates to OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus has started rolling out a new update to its range of OnePlus smartphones. The brand has rolled latest OxygenOS updates to OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

The updates for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T comes with version number OxygenOS 9.0.8, while for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T it is OxygenOS 9.0.5. Starting with OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, the new update brings new features to Zen Mode. It optimises the visual effects of Zen Mode and also adds an additional setting to select the duration of time in the Mode. This simply means that users can manually select the time limit for the Zen Mode.

Furthermore, the update brings the latest August 2019 security patch along with general bug fixes and stability improvements. It also optimises the screenshot process to make it smoother and faster. Coming to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, the update brings general bug fixes and improvements. The incremental update also adds the latest August 2019 security patch to both the devices.

As always, the update will be rolled out in batches, meaning that it will first reach a limited number of users and then a broader rollout will follow. In order to check for the latest update, users can go Settings > Software Update.

Previously, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T got a new OxygenOS update that brought June security patch to both the devices. Furthermore, the update brings general bug fixes and improvements.

OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T earlier received Oxygen OS 9.0.7 update that added Screen Recorder feature to both the phones. Users can simply record the screen on their OnePlus 5/5T smartphones by simply going to the notification panel. The update also added Fnatic gaming mode to both the smartphones along with new Quick Reply feature in landscape mode.
