OnePlus is seeding a new update to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T in the form of the OxygenOS 5.0.7 package. The update brings with it the latest Android security updates and renders support for the company’s Type-C Bullets Earphones which enables the headphones by default.
The update to OxygenOS 5.0.7 weighs in at 71MB and will be available as an OTA update that will be rolled out in a phased manner. OnePlus has included the latest November 2018 Android Security patches and will be updated on a regular basis till the end of November 2019. The OnePlus 3 and 3T haven’t yet been updated to Android Oreo but is expected to get Android 9 Pie directly in the coming months.
OxygenOS 5.0.7 also adds support for OnePlus’ Type-C Bullets Earphones by default. To use these earphones prior to the update, users were forced to enable the same by Heading over to OTG Storage under Settings > Advanced.
The update will be rolled out over-the-air (OTA). As usual, the update will be incremental meaning that the update will reach a small percentage of user today and it will be rolled out to broader users in a few days. Users can go to Settings > About > System Updates to check for the latest update.

OnePlus 5/5T will get major updates till November 2019 and security patches till November 2020. Lastly, OnePlus 6 will get major Android updates till May 2020 and security patches till May 2021.
