ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia is all set to launch its Red Magic gaming smartphone in India soon. The Nubia Red Magic was launched in April this year for $399 (approx. Rs 26,300) for the 6GB/64GB version while the 8GB/128GB variant is priced at $479 (approx. Rs 31,600).
The company recently launched the successor of Red Magic dubbed as Red Magic Mars in China. The smartphone is priced at 2699 Yuan (Rs 27,430 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 3199 Yuan (Rs 32,470 approx) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version and 10GB RAM with 256GB storage version is priced at 3999 Yuan (Rs 40,590 approx.).
As per a previous report, the Nubia Red Magic is expected to launch at around Rs 30,000 in India.
The company is teasing the launch of the upcoming smartphone on its official Twitter handle. The tweet reads “Enough is enough, it’s time for a new species to take over. The major highlight of this gaming smartphone is rugged design and the LED strip at the back panel, which gives a pure gaming-centric device look. The strip can support up to 16 million colours and one can change the lighting effects according to one’s need. There are four cooling ports on the back along with extra three layers of graphite to keep the phone cool while gaming.
The Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by the Dinorex T2X-1 scratch/shock resistant glass. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The phone runs on Android Oreo and it is backed by a 3,800mAh battery with support for NeoPower 3.0 and Nubia Fast charging technology. It features a 24-megapixel Samsung 5K2X7SX primary lens with a f/1.7 aperture. On the front, the handset sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron Pixel size.
For the connectivity features, the phone includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band 2X2 MIMO Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v5.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 158.1x 74.9 x 9.5mm and weight is 185 grams.
