Nokia’s 10-inch Windows tablet coming in Feb 2013

It is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 mobile processor and a unibody design.

Finnish handset manufacturer, Nokia is all set to launch a 10 inch tablet with Windows RT operating system February next year, according to DigiTimes which quoted Taiwan-based component makers as saying.

If true, then the Nokia is likely to unveil the tablet during the upcoming Mobile World Congress, which is to be held in Barcelona on February 25-28 next year.

This Nokia tablet was set to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 mobile and rumored to have been designed by Taiwan-based Compal. No further details on the tablet are available. Considering Nokia’s affection towards the unibody design, we can assume the Nokia tablet to be slimmer and enlarged version of Nokia Lumia 900/920 smartphone.

Besides developing the tablet, Nokia will also have to push the developers to create Windows RT based applications for the same tablet as well, even though the tablet might come loaded with Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student.

Microsoft announced the Windows RT operating system specifically for the ARM architecture based mobile processor at the end of October this year. Ever since, the world got to see Windows RT based tablets from Samsung, Asus, Acer and Microsoft. HTC surprisingly has been shunned from working on a Windows RT based tablet.
