Nokia had recently announced three Android operating system based smartphones, namely Nokia X, X+, and XL. But the handsets were slammed by all for not having access to the Google Play store. But now a user over at XDA Developers was able to root the Nokia X and managed to run the Android OS on it.
After rooting, the user managed to run Google apps like Google Now, Google Maps, Google Now Launcher, most importantly the Google Play Store, and the Play Store’s plethora of apps, games, music, movies, and books on the Nokia X.
But rooting is not a cup of tea for everyone. So it is better to buy a cheaper Android phone than buying Nokia Android phones and then root them to get the Play store access.
