The update will bring continuous auto-focus, 30FPS video recording capability, and a smoother user interface to the N8 smartphones.
Damien Dinning, Nokia's mobile camera guru, confirmed it via Twitter saying that the Symbian Anna update will bring continuous autofocus and 30FPS camera recording capabilities.
Symbian Anna is expected to bring better and smoother user interface for Symbian smartphones. In Nokia N8's case, it will bring number of tweaks out of which few for the camera get confirmed. With the Continous Auto-Focus, users can shoot smoother HD quality videos at 30 frames per second with the Carl Zeiss lens.
Though Dinning has been refraining to confirm a date or release, we can anticipate Nokia to give out official word anytime soon. So if you have held on to your Nokia N8, your patience is finally going to pay off with Symbian Anna release.
Last month, the Finnish handset maker announced Symbian Anna loaded Nokia N8 in Pink Colour in several countries. With this the Symbian^3 based handsets N8, E7, C7 and C6-01 will get the new Anna update in following months as promised by Nokia.
