We already know that HMD Global is currently working on its next Nokia 8.2 smartphone which is expected to launch later this year. Now it has been reported that the company is also working on a 5G variant of Nokia 8.2 that could debut in early 2020.
NokiaPowerUser reports that HMD Global is likely to launch Nokia 8.2 smartphone which will come with 5G in the MWC 2020 event next year in late February. The Nokia 8.2 5G will be the company’s first smartphone to have this technology.
Further, the report reveals that the phone will have a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and also a pop-up selfie camera for a high screen-to-body ratio much like its 4G LTE variant. So, the phone will not have any notch or punch hole camera. It will also feature an even bigger sensor than the one on Nokia 7.2 and will use pixel-binning for getting smaller final images. It is also mentioned that the phone should feature ZEISS optics and OZO Audio and even more powerful Night mode than one seen on Nokia 7.2.
It is to be noted that Nokia 8.2 will not be coming with flagship specs, as per the report. It might be a possibility that the Nokia 8.2 5G might be announced separately with flagship specs. The report also states that the Nokia flagship phone will be priced around $500 as stated by HMD Global CEO Juho Sarvikas.
As per an earlier report, the Nokia 8.2 might come with a “unique” front camera design and will run on a powerful Snapdragon Series 7xx Processor likely to be Snapdragon 735. Nokia 8.2 will be the successor of theNokia 8.1 which was launched in India last year.
