Google introduced its next-generation of the Android operating system during its annual Google I/O 2018 developer conference which will be known as Android P. Focusing on simplicity, intelligence and other new features, Android P was expected to be rolled out as a beta version to flagship devices like Sony Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21, OnePlus 6, Essential PH-1 and Nokia 7 Plus, the last one being the latest device to be seeded with an update to Android P Beta.
According to NokiaPowerUser, HMD Global has finally started seeding Android P Beta to the Nokia 7 Plus through Developer Preview 4 (Beta 3) which was pushed toward Pixel smartphones by Google a couple weeks ago. The latest update which comes as an over-the-air package will thus make it easy for Nokia 7 Plus users to try out Google’s newest interface rather than side-loading the update manually.
Weighing in at around 1/4GB, the OTA update to Android P Beta comes with build number V3.110 with July 2018 batch of Android security updates. Users who wish to retain back to their stable Android Oreo build can flash another OTA which will wipe out the user data.
In order to get the Android P Beta update on your Nokia 7 Plus, you’ll need to register your device at Nokia Developer page by logging in your credentials, location and IMEI number. Once signed in, the phone will be added to the list of devices to be pushed an update to. There onwards, you can download and follow the instruction to install the developer preview.
