HMD Global announced the launch of two new variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus a couple days ago. The Helio P60-powered smartphone which was only available in a single 3GB RAM variant since its launch in August 2018 can now be purchased in 4GB and 6GB RAM editions starting today.
The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 14,499 and the 6GB RAM option with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 16,499. The new variants will be available starting today along with the older 3GB RAM model on Flipkart and Nokia Store. All three RAM variants are available in Black and Blue colours. On purchase of the Nokia 5.1 Plus, Airtel users will be able to redeem a cashback of Rs 2,000 and can also avail up to 240GB of data.
The new variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus are quite similar to the original version and feature a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution 1520 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and can now be paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options.Prior to this, the Nokia 5.1 Plus started beingmade available offline for a price tag of Rs10,599in India.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus is an Android One device and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box but can be updated to Google’s latest Android 9 Pie right away. With Android Pie, the device will now feature App actions, Adaptive battery, New System navigation, Slices, Adaptive brightness and Google’s Digital Wellbeing.
For optics, Nokia 5.1 Plus is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary with LED Flash, PDAF and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for AI portrait shots at the rear panel. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera for video calling and selfies with AI-powered features. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM and USB Type-C port.
