Motorola has recently launched the Moto Z4 as its latest mid-range smartphone. Now the company has confirmed the Moto Z4 is the only Moto Z device that will be available this year. It means that Moto Z4 Force or Moto Z4 Play will not make any debut.
Motorola on Twitter has confirmed that the Z4 is the only Moto Z device that will be available this year. The company responded to a fan who asked if the Z4 Force will be coming. But sadly, Motorola tweeted that there will be won’t be any new Moto Z series smartphone to be announced this year. The tweet confirmed that Z4 Force or Z4 Play will not be announced.
Surprisingly, Moto Z3 Play was launched alongside Moto Z3 last year. So a successor was expected this year also. But since there was no Z3 Force in that year, the Z4 Play was also not expected this year. The Moto Z2 Force was last launched in the year 2017.
To recall, Moto Z4 features a 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a waterdrop notch, 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 85 percent. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and external SD card support. The device is fuelled by a 3,600 mAh battery with a 15W USB-C fast charging. Moto Z4 comes with an in-display fingerprint reader and it runs on Android 9 Pie.
For the camera, the Z4 houses a 48MP f/1.7 main camera with optical image stabilisation. The main sensor like any 48MP sensor works on the basis of the Quad Bayer colour array which results in 12MP shots. There’s also a Night Vision mode for low light photography and a 25MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.
