Next open sale of Xiaomi Mi 5 will be held on May 4th at 2pm. Thus prior registration will not be required to purchase this smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched in India earlier this month at Rs 24,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant.
Along with Mi 5 smartphone, the 20000mAh Mi power bank will also be up for grab at Rs 1,699.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 5.15 inch display that has full HD resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and comes along with Adreno 530 graphics processor, dual SIM, a fingerprint scanner and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
The phone has a 16 megapixel rear camera that has Sony IMX298 sensor, 6P lens, phase detection auto focus feature, LED flash light support, optical image stabilization and sapphire glass protection for lens. For selfies, the Mi 5 offers a 4 megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is fueled by a 3000 mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It has a USB Type C port too. Other than that, the Mi 5 offers WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. The handset measures 144.5×69.2×7.25mm and weighs 129 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 also has UFS 2.0 storage which is said to offer 87 per cent faster read write speed than eMMC 5.0 storage which is found in other smartphones. The Mi 5 comes with 4G+ (CAT 12 LTE modem) technology that can offer up to 600 Mbps speed. It also supports VoLTE.
