BlackBerry KEY2 was launched last year for the Indian market in Black and Silver colours. Now TCL has announced a new variant of the BlackBerry KEY2. Dubbed as BlackBerry KEY2 Red Edition, it comes with deep red Series 7 Aluminum frame, with black accents covering the textured back and the keys.
For the pricing, the BlackBerry KEY2 Red Edition is priced at $749 which is approximately Rs 53,235. The pre-orders for the BlackBerry KEY2 Red Edition have already started across Europe on the official BlackBerry Mobile website. It will also be available in Asia and North America later.
The BlackBerry KEY2 Red Edition has similar specifications as the original KEY2 except for colour change. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.BlackBerry KEY2 Red Edition features a 4.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display and an aspect ratio of 3:2. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked in at 2.2GHz. The smartphone has expandable memory up to 2TB via a microSD card.
For the security, BlackBerry KEY2 comes with DTEK App by BlackBerry which enables users to automatically view how personal data is accessed by apps and manage permission as well. Then there is Locker app which helps to store and protect sensitive user data, apps and content. This app can only be accessed through fingerprint or password.
BlackBerry KEY2 comes with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor + 12-megapixel secondary sensor with 2x Optical Zoom and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. A 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 which can charge the device up to 50 per cent in 40 minutes is provided in Key 2. On the connectivity front, it features Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Type-C USB 3.0, USB OTG, NFC, FM Radio.
