Milagrow HumanTech, an Indian tablet PC brand, has announced that it will launch a powerful tablet in the name of Olympic winner Sushil Kumar who won a silver medal in the 66 kg free style wrestling event. The tablet will be launched within six months.
Sushil Kumar would not just get the tablet in his name but will also get five per cent of the net sales proceeds of this special edition product.
Milagrow has also announced special edition tablets in the name of Vijay Kumar, Mary Kom, Gagan Narang, Saina Nehwal and Yogeshwar Dutt, who have also won medals in the London Olympics and will receive similar benefits from the sale of tablets launched in their names.
Rajeev Karwal, founder and chief executive officer of Milagrow, said, “It’s yet again a happy moment for the entire nation as another wrestler wins us accolades at the ongoing Olympics. As was announced by Milagrow we hope to soon launch this path breaking product in the name of Sushil Kumar after consultation with him. He has done India immensely proud and in the process has become the first individual Indian athlete to win two medals in the Olympics.”
Rajeev added, “We decided on launching special edition products before the Olympics started, not knowing who will win and who will not and how many medals India will win. As the winning athletes come back, we are initiating contact with them to finalise the details of the special edition launches. We are not looking for endorsement from them but are honouring them. They will inspire a billion. We feel that this initiative is a way of encouraging the athletes to give their 100 per cent not only during Olympics but also in the future whenever they are competing.”
Milagrow expects to sell more than 10,000 tablets each, named after Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Mary Kom, Gagan Narang, Vijay Kumar and Saina Nehwal. Milagrow will launch the special edition products after consultation with the winners about the specifications and packaging, within six months after the Olympics.
