Microsoft Surface tablet, which will become available in the USA from 26th October, is now available for pre-order in India through eBay.in. The tablet is being sold as a genuine import from the USA to India. However, since it is not being officially released, Microsoft would not provide any warranty on it.
EBay has put a price of Rs 38,400 for the 32GB version of the tablet. However if you also want the touch cover the price goes up to Rs 45,999 on ebay.in
The Windows RT based Surface tablet has a 10.6-inch ClearType HD touchscreen display that supports 1366×768 Pixel resolution natively. This display supports five point multi-touch interaction. Under the less than half inch chassis rests a quad-core Nvidia Tegra T30 family mobile processor along with 2 GB RAM.
The Surface with Windows RT tablet has 720p HD cameras both at the front and rear. The other features of this tablet include micro SXDC card reader, full USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio port, HD video out port and a cover port. It also packs hosts of sensors such as ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. For wireless connectivity, it has WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 technologies.
Microsoft Surface with Windows RT will be available with the Surface Type Cover accessory that has a built-in tactile keyboard, which is actually like a super slim laptop keyboard with trackpad.
