As reported earlier, Micromax has today announced the latest Selfie 2 smartphone in India. The device comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 and it will be available in select retail stores starting from August 01, 2017.
To recall, the phone was earlier found listed on company’s website revealing some key specifications. The major highlight of the device is the 8-megapixel selfie camera, which comes with Blue Glass IR Filter, Sony IMX135 sensor, aperture f/2.0, 5P lens and LED flash. There is camera mode known as real-time Bokeh effect, which is used to create background blur effect.
Then there is an auto scene detection mode that detects the type of scene and shooting conditions to provide with options to select the best settings. The rear camera comes with 13-megapixel sensor along with aperture f/2.0, OV 8856 sensor, 84-degree field of view, 5P lens and LED flash.

Other than this, the smartphone comes with 100 days replacement warranty (as part of one year warranty) on hardware, meaning that if there is a hardware defect in the smartphone, users will get a brand new device. The company has also integrated Truecaller dialler integration that helps users get a caller ID, spam detection, dialling and messaging experience.
Jumping straight to specifications, the device comes loaded with a 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels along with the 2.5D curved display. The device comes with an all metal body and it is equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
On the hardware front, Micromax Selfie 2 come is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and it comes with features like Multi Window Support, Reply in the Notification Panel, Enhanced Doze Mode, New quick settings option and Bundled Notifications. The device will be juiced up by a 3000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, it supports dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi and microUSB port.
