Micromax today announced a strategic collaboration with Intel in India aimed at offering a bouquet of high-performance mobile devices to the Indian consumer. At the same time, the company also announced the launch of an 8-inch tablet, Canvas Tab P666. It is the first Micromax tablet to feature Intel processor. Powered by the Intel Atom Z2520 Processor (1M Cache, 1.2 GHz), the new tablet is priced at Rs 10,999 and will be available in online and offline stores from November 29.
Running on latest Android 4.4 KitKat, the 3G enabled Canvas Tab P666 offers an 8-inch IPS display. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. Besides, it has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM.
“Available in Black and White colors, the tablet is designed with an exquisite glass finish and metal edges giving it a unique and elegant look,” said Micromax in a press release. The Canvas Tab P666 weighs a mere 310 grams and comes with an expandable memory of up to 32GB. It has a 4400 mAh battery.
