Meizu M6 with 5.2-inch HD display and octa core CPU launched in India for Rs 7,699

The Meizu M6 smartphone runs on an older Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system with Flyme 6.0 UI on top and is backed up by a 3,070mAh non-removable battery. It also features a mTouch fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button which the company claims to unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds.

Meizu has silently launched Meizu M6 smartphone in India for Rs 7,699. The smartphone is available for purchase on Amazon India and it comes only in Black colour.

To recall, Meizu M6 was launched way back in September 2017 in China in two variants- 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage priced at 699 Yuan which is approximately Rs 6,835 and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage which is priced at 899 Yuan which is approximately Rs 8,795. However, in India, the smartphone has made its debut after approx 8 months only with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage for Rs 7,699.

Meizu M6 boasts a polycarbonate unibody and a 5.2-inch display with the resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor, along with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via card.

On the camera front, the Meizu M6 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with 4-color RGBW flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 for selfies and video chats. Besides, the smartphone offers hybrid dual-SIM, VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/AGPS and a micro USB port. The device measures 155 x 75 x 3mm and it weighs 145grams. Sensors include Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, E-Compass, Gravity Sensor, Gyroscope, Hall Sensor, Radiation, Proximity Sensor.

Meixu M6 is the successor of Meizu M5 which was launched in India in May 2017 for Rs 10,499. The Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1270 pixels) 2.5D Glass display with a of 282 PPI. It comes equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, along with Mali T860 GPU. The M5 comes with an option to expand storage up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The device runs on Android Marshmallow with Flyme 5 on top of it. The M5 gets is strength from a large 3070mAh battery, which claims to deliver 66 hours of continuous music playback. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-color flash and aperture f/2.2. On its front, it has a 5-megapixel shooter with a ƒ/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats.
