Digital TV tuner which allows anyone to watch broadcast television from anywhere.

Samsung has Galaxy J2 DTV which was announced couple of weeks back is now available for purchase in Philippines. The device is priced at PHP 6,990 (approximately Rs 10,024 ). The USP of Samsung Galaxy J2 is that it has Digital TV tuner which allows its users to watch free to air television channels on the go. The phone is available in one Gold color.

However, spec wise the Samsung Galaxy J2 DTV is not that attractive. It has a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display with very poor 540 x 960 pixels resolution. Thankfully it has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (Samsung Exynos 3457 chipset) and 1GB RAM that makes it just good. Storage wise it is a bit decent with 8GB ROM and a 128 GB micro SD card slot. Depressingly, the smartphone runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and an average 2000 mAh battery.

The smartphone offers a paltry 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. The rear camera has f/2.2 aperture, an LED flash, autofocus and can record HD videos at 30 frames-per-second (fps). Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and a micro USB port. The device measures 136.5 x 69 x 8.4mm and weighs 130 grams.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy J2 DTV is only available in Philippines.
