LinkedIn Application for Android arrives finally

Although the LinkedIn app for iPhone and Blackberry was already there, the long pending demand for an Android app has been met with the launch of this app.

The growing tribe of users can now feel relieved, they are not left out in the cold by LinkedIn anymore.
LinkedIn has announced the launch of an Android app, as it noticed about 200 per cent increase in the users accessing LinkedIn website through Android phones.
Those who bought Android phones, were eager to access their professional network through their LinkedIn account.
The LinkedIn apps is already been available on iOS and Blackberry, but the Android users somehow went unnoticed (or may be LinkedIn was not sure about their numbers). The Android software engineer Cendric Beust was recently hired by LinkedIn but the still did not arrive.
The app is in beta right now, and can be used on Android phones with OS version 2.1 and above. It is for the first time that LinkedIn has launched the app in beta, as there was a huge surge in demand for the Android app from users.
The key features supported by the new app are viewing updates, searching for people, establishing new connections, and keeping in touch with users’ existing connections.
Users can also access the app by going to LinkedIn for Android group. In the blog post, LinkedIn says that in future users would be able to access their complete inbox from the app.
