LG has finally rolled out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade for its Optimus 2X smartphone in India. The ICS 4.0 upgrade, which is available over the air, will add a host of new features and functionality to the LG Optimus 2X.
LG Optimus 2X had received the Android Gingerbread operating system last year and the ICS upgrade in the very beginning of the year 2013 makes it all the more special to the users.
Along with that LG has also released its Optimus user interface version 3 for the smartphone too.
The upgrade brings a brand new lock screen along with the face unlock feature and an all new camera utility as well. The Browser has also been upgraded and most applications now come with support on the new operating system.
The upgrade has been rolled out for users across the country but it might take some time before the upgrade is made available in different regions. The upgrade is available over the air and no additional application or utility is required to upgrade the device to the latest version.
