LG partners with National Geographic photographers for 3D content

These photographers will capture 3D photographs and videos with LG Optimus 3D camera, and will be available for this glassless 3D phone that has recently been launched in the Indian market.

LG Electronics is collaborating with photographers of National Geographic Assignment to create 3D image and video content. The material will be shot entirely with the LG Optimus 3D, a glasses-free full 3D smartphone with the tri-dual architecture.

This is being done to showcase the technology, such as video stabilisation and misalignment correction functions, of this 3D phone.

These technologies will allow the National Geographic Assignment photographers to capture 3D content in a variety of locations. National Geographic Assignment selected six staff artists to capture images with the smartphone.

The photojournalists, comprised of four photographers and two videographers, are Steven Alvarez, Brian Skerry, Bryan Harvey, Justin Guariglia, Peter Hutchens and Steve Winter.

LG has also ensured that people have 17 3D games which they can enjoy on the phone, company has also partnered with YouTube to provide 3D video content for the phone.
