Lenovo S5 Pro confirmed to launch on October 18 in China

The Lenovo S5 Pro will be an upgraded version of the Lenovo S5 which was announced earlier this year.

The Lenovo S5 Pro will launch on October 18 at an event in Beijing, China. The smartphone has been in news via rumours earlier and now its launch date has been confirmed. It will the company’s first smartphone to feature a quad-camera setup at the rear.

Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng announced the launch date of the upcoming Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The Lenovo S5 Pro will be an upgraded version of the Lenovo S5 which was announced earlier this year.

The Lenovo S5 Pro will reportedly be powered by Snapdragon 636 coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM with a full-screen and notch-less display. It will have an all-screen display with a slider mechanism for the front-facing camera. The camera will support super 2X with features. There are reports that the phone will have an in-screen fingerprint sensor with 100 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone will be reportedly coming in three variants – 64GB, 128GB or 256GB. It will be fueled by 4000mAh battery and feature 6.5-inch Quad-HD+ screen. Lenovo S5 Pro will come with a quad-camera setup at the back for primary imaging purposes. While one of the cameras has been confirmed be a 2X telephoto lens, another one of them is going to be with a regular field of view. We can expect the other two to function as a lens, a monochrome sensor or another telephoto lens with 3X zoom.

The Lenovo S5 was launched with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It came in three variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. It features a dual-camera setup of 13-megapixel monochrome sensor and 13-megapixel RGB sensor with a single 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone runs on 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3000mAh battery
